[RESOLVED] Atreus issue device crash and rebooting

Post by Totof »

Hi guys, sorry for the inconvenience and my awful english, i have some troubles with my 2 atreus keyboards :

I can see the device perfectely with atreus in the name but every time i push a key the device crash and reboot on windows android and linux :/ only my layer for my mouse working strangely...
I tried to put my atreus to factory default (with only 3 layers) but the issue persists...
I tried to put an old keyboard by microsoft and it's working perfectely.

I have already tried to flash multiples times the device on windows at all versions but it keep crashing and rebooting.

here my debug code whith one random keepress at the end :

Re: Atreus issue device crash and rebooting

Post by Alex »

Hey Totof,

Thank you for the logs. I don't see anything wrong to be honest. Seems that it should be working. Could you please try the firmware "report-map" and send me the logs again? Another guy with the atreus was having issues and it was fixed for him in 1.0.2.

Thank you,
Alex

Re: Atreus issue device crash and rebooting

Post by Alex »

Hey,

I'm trying to replicate the crash but it's not really happening on my end. I used your report map (I got it from the logs), which is very odd.
I uploaded a new firmware with some more logs which might help me figure it out. Could you update to 1.0.5-beta-1 and send me the logs again?

Thanks.

Re: Atreus issue device crash and rebooting

Post by Alex »

Alrigh thanks for the logs. I see the issue. I'm not sure what is causing, but think I see it. For some reason it thinks your keys are being sent from a report with ID = 0, which is not true. No need to get into details, but that 0 should be 127. I can probably hardcode it and it will work, but that's not an ideal solution, it should find it automatically.
Please try 1.0.5-beta-2. I hardcoded it to change it to 127 if it sees a 0. If it works, I'll bother you another day to find a "proper" solution, if necessary.
It might work with some keys and crash with others (holding shift/ctrl etc. might cause it to crash for example). Let me know.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation!

Glad it's working now! Could you update to beta-3 and show me some more logs?
I'd like to see the logs when you press a button that works, and then when you press a button that doesn't work.
Thanks!
