You can purchase SterlingKey™ through my e-shop here

A metal housing would create a faraday cage, it would block the bluetooth signal and the strength would suffer. It would also make the device heavier, which is something that should be avoided.

Currently, the available colors are:
  • Charcoal
  • Dark Blue
  • Milky White
  • Fire Engine Red
  • Translucent
If you would like another color, let me know by sending a message!

The dimensions are as per below:
  • Length: 99mm
  • Width: 29mm
  • Height: 33mm

You can still connect your keyboard directly to SterlingKey™ and convert it into a multi-device Bluetooth keyboard.

According to my tests, there is no noticeable latency and can be used for competitive gaming.

A 21700 battery with 4900mAh capacity has been used and tested to last for nearly 24 hours of continuous use.

Wired keyboards are not optimized to be used with batteries, since they are meant to be plugged in directly to a power source. For that reason they can draw a lot more power than actual wireless keyboards, and that unfortunately affects the battery life.

  • After 5 minutes of inactivity the device goes into Sleep Mode, so the actual battery life depends on the use of each user
  • Charging up to 80% takes around 2.5 hours. Charging slows down afterwards to preserve the battery health. A full charge takes around 4 hours using a good quality 5V-2A charger
  • By using a 21700 battery, it means that it can be easily replaced if needed, with the drawback of taking up a bit more space

SterlingKey™ includes a USB to Serial Chip, and you will be able to update the firmware using the Type-C port connected to a computer, in case a new firmware is available. The new firmware will be available in the forum
